Manchester City thumped Newcastle United 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, with David Silva netting a brace.
Sergio Aguero opened the scoring from the penalty spot after just two minutes, before Samir Nasri and Edin Dzeko made it 3-0 before half-time.
Silva then netted twice in quick succession in the second period to wrap up the victory, and cut the gap at the top of the table to five points.
