Everton - Dynamo Kiev Betting: Lukaku to provide the spark for the Toffees in Europe again

Everton - Dynamo Kiev Betting: Lukaku to provide the spark for the Toffees in Europe again

It's another big night at Goodison Park in the Europa League, as the Toffees welcome Sergey Rebrov’s side to Merseyside, with our tipster backing a striker in form to fire again

The Toffees have recorded just one victory in their last 12 Premier league games, losing three of their last four, but have been superb in Europe this season. Thursday's hosts are the final English representatives left in the tournament, winning five of their eight matches, losing only once, with Krasnodar beating them in a dead rubber.

Last time out in the competition, Everton came out on top 7-2 on aggregate against Swiss side Young Boys. Paddy Power price them at 11/8 (2.38) to win tonight's first leg at Goodison Park.

Kiev will prove a tougher test for Everton in this round, with the Ukrainians also making waves in this competition, winning six of their eight matches, only losing to AaB and Guingamp on the road. Sergey Rebrov’s men had to come back from a first leg deficit against Guingamp in the last round, eventually winning the tie 4-3 on aggregate.

With the visitors storming away in the Ukrainian Premier League, seven points above Shakhtar Donetsk after 16 matches, they will be confident coming into this match. Paddy Power price them at 11/5 (3.20) to win and 21/10 (3.10) to draw.

With Kiev not to be underestimated, it's tough to call the outright market for this match with any certainty, so it’s worth avoiding.

Instead, consider backing Everton’s man of the moment in this competition to net again. Romelu Lukaku may be struggling to fire consistently in the league, but in Europe he’s been on fire in recent weeks, scoring six goals in his last three matches.

With important goals against Wolfsburg and Young Boys, he will be eager to add to his total on the European stage. Paddy Power go 6/4 (2.50) for him to net in 90 minutes, which is certainly worth an investment.
