Verratti: Every Italian wants to play in Serie A... but I'm very happy in Paris

Juventus have been linked with a move for the midfielder many see as Andrea Pirlo's successor but the 22-year-old is enjoying his key role in Laurent Blanc's side
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has admitted that it is "every Italian's dream" to play in Serie A but insists he is happy to stay in France for the forseeable future.

The 22-year-old playmaker has become an integral part of Laurent Blanc's side this season and starred in their Champions League second-round victory over Chelsea.

Verratti has been tipped to replace Andrea Pirlo in the Italy team and Juventus have been linked with a move for the former Pescara player for the same reason.

"Every Italian wants to play in Serie A," Verratti said ahead of Italy's Euro 2016 qualifier against Bulgaria on Saturday.

"But I'm building up some great experiences and for the moment I'm not nostalgic, because I'm very happy in Paris.

"When great teams look at you it's always a source of pride. It means you're doing well and you're on the right track.

"A great future stems from a great present, so I must take things one game at a time.

"The present for me is Paris and I'm delighted with the trust that I'm being given. I don't think about the future."
